Programme Overview

This programme is an individually tailored package designed to meet the needs of the experienced chief executive and is designed for individuals that have been in the role for five or more years.

On-going learning and self-development is important for experienced chief executives. This programme helps re-energise the participant and assists in injecting new thinking in the workplace by taking each participant out of their working environment providing a holistic review of their professional work.

Course Components

• Personal Planning Session delivered by ACEVO

A support session which can be held as a face to face meeting or via telephone - depending on your preference with a senior development officer from ACEVO. This coaching session will help to design the right professional development programme for you. This session will also help determine the best person from the coaching team to support you through the program.

• 360° Review delivered by ACEVO

A review of your leadership performance providing feedback from a self-selected cross section of people you work with or who are important to your organisation for example senior staff, trustees, beneficiaries, other stakeholders). Following the data collection and analysis of the web based questionnaires, a facilitated feedback session will be arranged with a Cass Business School expert who will help you work through the findings. This will provide an understanding of your impact on others, areas where your performance or behaviour can be improved and a personal action plan to take your development forward.

• Leadership Retreat delivered by The Way Ahead Group

A two day residential retreat held at Minster Abbey, Thanet, Kent. (14 - 16 October). This offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the key issues of your leadership and development. A small group of CEOs at similar stages in their career will form the rest of the group.

• CEO & Chair Surgeries

Two CEO and Chair surgeries with an expert facilitator, giving you as the 'top team' the opportunity to discuss both individual and organisational needs

• Personal Coaching Sessions

Two coaching sessions with a specially selected senior Cass Business School coach with cross sector experience. This is an opportunity for you to discuss explore of relating to the next stage of your personal or professional development.

At the end of the programme, a personal debrief - either a face to face meeting or via telephone will include an evaluation of your programme and assistance in helping you think through the next steps in your development.

The programme will be designed to suit your needs as much as possible to suit your dairy - the only fixed point of the programme is the residential retreat on the 14 - 16 October.
