Real Help for Small and Medium Sized Businesses (BERR)

To help organisations struggling to access finance for working capital and investment, the Government has launched a support package consisting of loan guarantees and a new equity fund.

SMEs including third sector organisations can access real help through:

•      the web portal: www.businesslink.gov.uk/realhelp
•      by contacting their local Business Link adviser on 0845 600 9 006

The support package comprise:

• An Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme (EFG) – Government Guaranteed Loans
• Capital for Enterprise Scheme – Debt for Equity
• RDA Transition Funds - Regional Loans
• Working Capital Scheme – Support for Lending
• Health Checks for Businesses
• More Time to Pay Tax Bills
• Help with Managing Cashflow

• Real Help with Training
